Marvel fans rejoice! The 2023 movie slate for Marvel Studios is finally here! After a year of delays due to the pandemic, Marvel is back with a vengeance and ready to bring us some of the most anticipated films of the year.
The 2023 slate includes a mix of sequels and new films, all of which are sure to be box office hits. The first film on the list is the highly anticipated sequel to Black Panther, titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This film will follow T’Challa as he returns to Wakanda to take on a new threat.
Next up is the long-awaited sequel to Doctor Strange, titled Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This film will follow Doctor Strange as he embarks on a journey through the multiverse to battle a powerful new enemy.
The third film on the list is the third installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, titled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. This film will follow the Guardians as they face off against a new threat in the form of an intergalactic warlord.
The fourth film on the list is the highly anticipated sequel to Captain Marvel, titled Captain Marvel 2. This film will follow Carol Danvers as she returns to Earth to take on a new threat.
The fifth and final film on the list is the long-awaited sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, titled Spider-Man: No Way Home. This film will follow Peter Parker as he faces off against a new villain and attempts to save the world.
With this slate of films, Marvel is sure to have another successful year at the box office. Fans can look forward to seeing these films in theaters in 2023. So mark your calendars and get ready for a year of Marvel movies!
Early this morning, Marvel Studios made fans across the world incredibly happy with their announcement revealing the highly-anticipated 2023 movie slate.
The slate includes six movies: “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “Captain Marvel 2,” “Fantastic Four,” “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” and “Thor: Love and Thunder.” Excitement surrounding these movies is already building, and the possibilities are seemingly endless.
The first movie of the slate is “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” which is set to release on July 8, 2023. The cast will remain unchanged, with Chadwick Boseman reprising his role as T’Challa, and Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett returning as Shuri, M’Baku and Ramonda, respectively. Boseman sadly passed away earlier this year, and this film is set to honor his life and legacy.
Next up is “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” which is the continuation of the popular franchise. Written and directed by James Gunn, it is set to release on October 7, 2023. Fans can expect to see Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and Bradley Cooper back on their roles as Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, and Rocket, respectively.
Following that is “Captain Marvel 2,” which is set to release on December 22, 2023. The film will star Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. It is written by Megan McDonnell and directed by Nia DaCosta.
“Fantastic Four,” written by Michael Green and directed by Jon Watts, is also set for a 2023 release. It will feature Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and others. The exact date of release has not been confirmed yet.
The penultimate movie of the slate is “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” which is the third installment in the “Ant-Man” franchise. It will star Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly as Ant-Man and the Wasp, respectively. It is being directed by Peyton Reed and is set to release on February 17, 2023.
The final movie of the 2023 slate is “Thor: Love and Thunder,” starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor. The movie is being directed by Taika Waititi and is set to release on May 6, 2023.
